As summer approaches and concert season is starting to bloom, The Music Soup wants to wish it's readers a happy and safe live music season. Each year, the Santa Rosa Junior College, record label (Dont Flunk Me Records), chooses a band to promote. This years' chosen band is Vista Francisco. This was the second band to play that night "Lean-to". On April 17, there was a performance at the Arlene Francis Center showcasing this band and two other new high energy bands. The headliner, Vista Francisco was releasing their 5 song EP for this event. The bands that opened the show were, Strawberry Farm and Lean-to. The DF

Thrones of Fire - the ultimate show for drum enthusiasts! This was a very rare show one doesn't see a lot....with all drums. Thrones of Fire was for drum lovers like me, it was an awesome way for drum enthusiasts to spend three hours! It showcased about 25 drummers, choosing their own track to drum with, onstage at the Hopmonk Tavern in Novato. A show put on by Daniel Kushner, of TandemDrums.com. This is Gina Newell.
